Über Cozy

Sweater: H&M
Blouse: TJ Maxx (old)
Jeans: Hudsons via Rue La La
Shoes: Coach via TJ Maxx
Clutch: GiGi New York (30% off today for Cyber Monday!)

Cozy sweaters are a must in frigid New England so I was pumped to find this one for $24 at H&M last week. I can't find the exact one online, but did link to a very similar (and cheaper) option!

To dress this outfit up a little I layered a basic white collared blouse under the sweater -- repeating the same sweaters is a lot easier with a carousel of layers! Stay tuned for more looks this season.

Also, rocking my fav Coach pumps that I scored from TJ Maxx for a bargain and my newest handbag addition - this fabulous GiGi uber clutch.

Hope you all had a fabulous holiday weekend and best of luck heading back into reality this morning!

Autumn Vibes

Sweater: TJ Maxx
Shirt: TJ Maxx
Jeans: ℅ Vigoss
Shoes: Steve Madden
Sunnies: Ray-ban

Thanksgiving Eve -- the only night it's fun to go out in your hometown and see everyone you've ever known. I need a serious caffeine boost for this.

Today's look is simple fall basics; cable sweater, flannel, and leopard.

I can't get enough of these Vigoss Jeans -- they are super comfortable and the perfect dark hue. Also, this skinny leg is perfect for tucking into boots which is going to come in super handy this season.

This sweater is an oldie but goodie from TJ Maxx a few seasons ago, but I've linked a few similar ones below. I love the contrast of the flannel with the cream color and tying it all together with the leopard "neutral". These bright Ray-bans are great reminder of warm weather so I rely on them to help me survive the cooler New England temps that will last the next…six months.

Where are you headed tonight?!

Turkey Day Fashion

Dress: H&M
Vest: TJ Maxx
Necklace: J. Crew Factory
Clutch: Burberry
Sunnies: Karen Walker

Welcome to the best work week of the entire year -- only two days standing between me and all the food, friends, vino, and merriment one could ask for.

I'm going with this merlot skater dress for turkey dinner this year, jazzed up with some faux fur and black tights. I feel it's a good combo of texture and color for these fall festivities. This dress is available at H&M right now for a mere $18 (in stores)!

This gorgeous Burberry clutch (which also becomes a cross-body) was a must-have purchase when I saw it on the Peach app and won it for almost 50% off! This J. Crew statement necklace is my go-to for dressing up any look, I've yet to find an outfit I don't love it with! It's sold out at J. Crew currently, but Bibjewelry has a great dupe!

Vino Inspired

Top: Forever 21
Leggings: Victoria's Secret
Shoes: Aldo
Necklace: J. Crew Factory

Some things I hate: winter, freezing, cold, early darkness. Some things that help me cope: Pinot Noir.

I've been more into red wine than usual lately, probably because I can't drink it with my Invisalign adult braces in so it gives me an excuse to take them out (shhh, don't tell my dentist), but it also helps warm you up a little during these cooler FREEZING days.

Same goes for these Aldo booties with the amazing merlot detail -- warms this look right out by adding just the right seasonal touch of color.

Also, love this top that I scooped up from Forever 21 and these leggings with the fun faux leather knee detail. I got these babies from a big VS sale a few months back, but they have some similar, reasonably priced options available now.

Stripes and Stones May Break My Bones…

Boots: Forever 21
Bag: Aldo (OLD)
Necklace: Bibjewelry

It's hard to compete with the gorgeous foliage in the background, so I kept things simple with a striped tee (with leather accents of course) and my fave black jeans and booties.

I added a little color with a go-to statement necklace and pushed the short sleeve about as far as I can into the season. The best part of these booties is that they have a hidden wedge, so they look flat but they don't cut my short little legs off too much!

Also - FYI to all the trendy Boston ladies:
Dagne Dover (the designer of this gorgeous bag) will be visiting Lit Boutique on Hanover Street on Saturday for their trunk show (and debut of a new bag!) if you want to stop by!

Free Fallin'

Top: Target
Denim: Vigoss (old)
Shoes: Steve Madden (old)
Scarf: Gift (from a small boutique)
Sunnies: Karen Walker

Fall calls for one of my favorite color palettes -- warm neutrals -- like olive, tan, beige, oxblood, and as always, dark denim.

This basic layering shirt from Target was such a great find and I'm glad I went back and stocked up in several colors. Pairing it with my favorite distressed denim and a nude heel, I was feeling pretty fallish.

I finished the look with my favorite Louis Vuitton (one of my first "I'm a grown up now" purchases a few years ago) and this beautiful elephant scarf I received as a birthday gift from one of my best friends.   I have an obsession with elephants so this scarf is a regular in my fall wardrobe.

Scarves, dark denim, and a looser top are my favorite fall staples -- so  many good combos, not enough fall season!

Day to Play

Top: Target
Vest: 41 Hawthorn via Stitchfix (last season)
Necklace: Baublebar
Sunnies: Rayban

Wanted to try something new on with today's post. If you like it, let me know and I can make it a more regular feature! The idea is an outfit you can take from "Day" to "Play".

I'm fortunate to be able to dress pretty casually for work depending on the day and meetings with clients, but even still sometimes when work rolls right into evening plans, I wish I had a better look for a night out.

So here are my secrets to seamlessly switching things up:

1. Carry a large handbag (it holds your shoes)

2. Change your shoes (you know, the ones in your large handbag)

3. Remove a layer and/or add an accessory

Boom. Done.

For day, I'm jazzing up my basic black look with some Tory Revas and this herringbone vest I scored from Stitchfix this winter. Side note -- if you haven't heard of Stitchfix, you're missing out. Check it out here. When it's time for city cocktails with a girlfriend, I switch out the flats for pumps, lose the vest, and add a simple necklace to dress the look up a bit. Easy, breezy, pass me a martini.

What do you think?
