Season's Greetings

Top: Banana Republic Factory (not available online!)
Jeans: Kensie
Booties: Old Navy
Watch: Michael Kors
Bracelets: Bibjewelry, Baublebar
Sunnies: Karen Walker
Clutch: Gift

Happy Monday! A slight holiday vibe on the blog today with this red and beige color block swing sweater and classic white jeans. While white jeans aren't appropriate everywhere throughout the cooler months, there are plenty of ways to keep styling them.

Because this swing sweater falls shorter than I would like on my hips (especially in less forgiving white denim) I layered this look with an old white tank top from Target.

A Trendy Peace rule for shopping: don't be afraid to size up sometimes -- I bought this tank top in a large (because it was $4) and it's adorable belted on its own or layered under other pieces. See how I styled it this summer here!

I'm really loving the white on white with the grounding colors form the booties and sweater. All my usual accessories are linked below with the exception of this fun gold clutch which was a gift from a friend!

Über Cozy

Sweater: H&M
Blouse: TJ Maxx (old)
Jeans: Hudsons via Rue La La
Shoes: Coach via TJ Maxx
Clutch: GiGi New York (30% off today for Cyber Monday!)

Cozy sweaters are a must in frigid New England so I was pumped to find this one for $24 at H&M last week. I can't find the exact one online, but did link to a very similar (and cheaper) option!

To dress this outfit up a little I layered a basic white collared blouse under the sweater -- repeating the same sweaters is a lot easier with a carousel of layers! Stay tuned for more looks this season.

Also, rocking my fav Coach pumps that I scored from TJ Maxx for a bargain and my newest handbag addition - this fabulous GiGi uber clutch.

Hope you all had a fabulous holiday weekend and best of luck heading back into reality this morning!

Free Fallin'

Top: Target
Denim: Vigoss (old)
Shoes: Steve Madden (old)
Scarf: Gift (from a small boutique)
Sunnies: Karen Walker

Fall calls for one of my favorite color palettes -- warm neutrals -- like olive, tan, beige, oxblood, and as always, dark denim.

This basic layering shirt from Target was such a great find and I'm glad I went back and stocked up in several colors. Pairing it with my favorite distressed denim and a nude heel, I was feeling pretty fallish.

I finished the look with my favorite Louis Vuitton (one of my first "I'm a grown up now" purchases a few years ago) and this beautiful elephant scarf I received as a birthday gift from one of my best friends.   I have an obsession with elephants so this scarf is a regular in my fall wardrobe.

Scarves, dark denim, and a looser top are my favorite fall staples -- so  many good combos, not enough fall season!

Fields of Fashion

Dress: Forever 21 (no longer online)
Tunic: Target (old)
Wedges: Target (last summer)
Wallet: Louis Vuitton
Sunnies: Ray-ban
Watch: Michael Kors

This maxi dress was another fabulous Forever 21 find that I scooped up for less than $15 one weekend shopping with a girlfriend. The dress is one pattern and strapless and comes with a black braided belt. I've been wearing this dress on repeat so I wanted to try something different.

I tried layering this white tunic over the dress using the braided belt to cinch the waist. I love how it came out! I love outfits that work multiple ways! I could wear this little number to work then remove the tunic and add a fun necklace to take this outfit out to the bar. Always good to have options.

Fun fact: The grass was SOAKED while we were shooting here and so was I by the time I was done sitting for the photos. But come on, we totally had to….I did it in the name of fashion!

So here's the good news - in total this whole outfit (sans Wallet) cost under $30. Here's the bad news - between the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and all the fashionista inspiration over the past few days, I've been spending a whole lot more than that…

Oh well, cheers to a few amazing upcoming mail days. And as a sort of random side note: if you are on the fence about whether or not the Clarisonic face cleaner is a worthy purchase - I would like to confirm it is. In fact, I'd like to scream that from the rooftops. It's a MUST PURCHASE. Finally caved during the first round Nordstrom sale and I am quite content.
