Red Hot American Style

Top: T.J. Maxx
Jeans: Joe's via T.J. Maxx
Boots: DSW
Bag: Target (old)
Sunnies: Rayban
Watch: Michael Kors

Red is a color I don't usually gravitate to but then when I occasionally wear it - I love it!

I found this top on a T.J. Maxx hunt a few weeks ago and decided to give it a try - I really liked the fit and thought it was time to test out this color again. I decided to keep the look casual, paired with black pants and my over the knee boots. The cross-body bag is super functional for days of running errands when I just want to be hands free, plus it contrasts pretty nicely with the red.

I've been focusing a little more on everyday style lately -- putting an outfit together without a lot of fuss -- I think because it's been so miserable here weather-wise and wearing my fave outfits just isn't happening. I've been living in snow boots and I've had ENOUGH. Everyday it's skinny jeans, tucked into snow boots, with the warmest, thickest sweater I can find and a blanket scarf wrapped around my head -- throw on my huge Northface coat and I'm a marshmallow identical to all the other ones you see waddling through the city these days.

This look is easy, limited layers, and no hassle --- but still super cute. That bright red even reminds me that warmer weather is on (long, distant, extremely far away) way!

BEA UTI FUL

Top: T.J. Maxx
Jeans: Joe's via T.J. Maxx
Shoes: Target (purchase in store!)
Clutch: Gigi New York
Sunnies: Karen Walker
Watch: Michael Kors
Bracelet: Bib Jewelry

I will admit, and I don't think I'm alone, I often fall victim to impulse purchases at T.J. Maxx and this cozy little sweatshirt was one of them. Well, since purchasing - it has hardly left my skin. It's so comfortable and cute enough to wear out and about.

This is one of my usual weekend looks and I love any excuse to wear my leopard flats (which I scooped up for a mere $12 and my friend Jodi recently snagged for $7!!) and I love my go-to clutch to add a little color.

If you ask me, nothing gets better than clothes that are comfortable, cheap, and cost next to nothing. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to get back to snuggling in my cozy sweatshirt…

Quilted Chic

Coat: J. Crew Factory (30% off!!)
Top: Forever 21
Jeans: James Jeans
Shoes: Necessary Clothing
Watch: Michael Kors
Sunnies: Ray-ban
Bag: Louis Vuitton

I'm obsessed with this quilted jacket I picked up from J. Crew Factory when I was doing some Christmas shopping for my manfriend. It's so chic to layer on any look.

This is my "I'm so cool and fabulous and running late in the city" look. I'm loving being able to wear a lighter jacket and fully enjoying our warmer weather while it lasts.

The gold-toe pumps are my favorite to wear with dark skinnies. I've been rocking this black Michael Kors for more of a laid back look on the weekends.

What's your go-to weekend look?

Blanket Statement

Sweater: H&M
Leggings: Target
Scarf: ASOS
Boots: Alloy (old)
Sunnies: Karen Walker
Bag: Louis Vuitton

I've been trying to get my hands on the perfect massive blanket scarf for weeks and I finally found my neck warming soulmate. This beauty came from ASOS after I spotted it on several fashionistas' blogs and Instas.

On my third unnecessary shopping trip last week, I scooped up this olive sweater and can't wait to style it all winter. Olive and merlot are the two colors I can't stop gravitating toward this season.

These knee highs are quite old and from my favorite secret shoe shopping spot - Alloy. Will need to do some shopping for some more tall boots as winter comes to stay so any feedback would be appreciated!

For now, I'll get back to cocooning myself inside this scarf. I think it's permanently attached to my body now.
